We follow the turmoil while his latest incarnation Go-Kart Mozart attempt to ‘rehearse live’ for an upcoming tour that never materialises. From back street pubs to Paris and on to the Hammersmith Odeon, opening to an empty auditorium, we witness a rugged determination that just will not give up, no matter how adverse the terrain gets.
We share in the making of a new album and various attempts at promotion while homeless and condemned to hostel living, and see finally at the far end of a very rocky road a glimmer of a new beginning, where hope and redemption become bedfellows with Lawrence’s famed “abject passive misery.”
